Luther
1. Although Martin Luther he struggle with his faith with Christ, he believed that we should be able to worship freely and able to read and translate the bible ourselves. At the time, the only way to hear about Christ was threw the Pope or a Priest. Martin Luther translated the Bible from Latin to German so that people could read it themselves. He also translated the 95 Theses. He faced judgement and accusations from the other priests and people for going against the natural traditions of the way of the Roman Catholic Church. Luther was a great doctor of Theology.
2. Martin Luther was important because he made a way for people to read, translate, and apply the bible for themselves. A downfall in his life was that he struggled with his faith in Christ, and did continuously throughout most of his life until he put complete faith in him.One of Luther's strengths was that, even though he struggled with his relationship with Christ, he tried his hardest to do the right things and be the best spiritual leader that he could. I think that the movie was pretty accurate. I haven't read or studied Martin Luther very much so I think that the movie is accurate. I don't think that the movie was biased. It seemed to go with the history of the time.
3. Luther’s books show accuracy of the books of the Bible to each other. Luther also wrote about the church and wrote quite a bit about the Christian home. He wrote with great emotion, and took his frustration out with his writings (in a good, healthy way) (Greatsite Marketing). Although he took a vow of Chasity, Martin Luther married Katharina von Bon in 1527. Katharina von Bon was a nun that fled from Nimbschen. She took refuge in Wittenberg where she met Luther. They had 6 children (C.D. Merriman).

DWYL Ch.8
Chapter 8 :
In Chapter 8 John Piper talks about how it doesn't matter where you work, or what you do, if you are doing it for God nothing else matters. Not everyone is called to be a missionary, but we can do God's work in the places where we are, here and now.
On page 135 John Piper said "...What Paul does mean is that when we are converted we should not jump to the conclusion, my job must change. Rather our thought should be, God had put me here, and i should now display his worth in this job. (1 Cor. 7:17-24)." This really stuck out to me and made me realize that I don't need to go to a far away place to tell people about Christ but in my everyday life here in Oklahoma.
God made the birds sing, the wind blow, the ocean waves...wave, and has given to us gifts and talents and the ability to practice them. Therefore we should give God continuous Thanks for everything he has done and given to us."He himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything" Acts1 7:25 "Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great!" Ps. 104:1
A portion of chapter 8 it takes about beavers, hummingbirds and spiders and ants. It takes about how these animals are extremely hard working and have tones of creativity. We should work just like these animal in the way we glorify Christ. We should strive to be creative and hard-working for God other wise we aren't using the abilities that he has given us. "If you are not God, but like God-that is, if you are human- your work is to take what God has made and shape it and use it to make him look Great."

DQYL Ch. 6&7
Answers to Questions:
- The greatest problem with television is that most of the shows have bad language or violence or provocative material that most people should be watching. Expecially the younger humans. Internet is kind of the same thing. You have to watch which sight that you look at, and ask yourself if it is bring you closer to God. It might be. I'm not saying that it isn't. Everyone should be careful about what they watch and listen to because what you listen to or watch will come out sooner or later (weither you like it or not).
- language
- attitude
- ???
- If someone compared my TV/Internet time to my God time they would probably have a bad idea about me and my walk with God. I don't spend as much time with God as I should, which isnt good and I need to work on it.
- In this chapter we talked about what we do in our day to day life and if people can tell by how we act if we are christians. I said that in my free time they could probably tell but in some areas of my life you probably cant. which really opened my eyes and made me realize that people are watching and i need to show my christian-ness (<--yeah) all the time not just sometimes.
- We also talked about giving everything up to Christ. Which we should all do because he gave himself so we need to give back everything. We don't deserve anything here on earth anyways, and its all going to be gone soon. Christians need to have a strong relationship with Christ, and whenever we have something that we idolise, weither it is money, food, toys, whatever, we are putting up a barrior between us and God and if you just give it to him, and make him your idol than you will have a really good relationship with him. Luke 12:15 says "One's life does not consist in the abundanceof his prossessians"

Jesus Camp
Good:
~Their passion was a great thing. Even though these kids were like... crazy, they still had a great passion for God and the works of God.
~They Worshipped with everything they had. All their might. I think we should do that more. Not in the crazy cult like way but we need to be more on fire with God.
~Theirs beliefs about abortion was pretty much right on.
~Praying for the government to do well that was okay but they kind of made it look like they were asking for a different government or something. Like something better. When really we need to be praying for the government that we have and praying that they do there job for the good of the country. And just to remember that God put the government people in charge for a reason.
Bad:
~These little kids were completely brainwashed. They were so demanding of God and I dont even know.. Weird. Okay
~This Camp seemed like a cult of some sort.
~The Jesus Camp is pretty much making an Army. An Army of kids around the age of 9-14 (roughly). Its..yeah. In the movie it didnt even look like the kids were kids. I know that the movie only got a little bit of these kids lives but seriously.
~The Lady I think said something like "you made a promise to pray about ???? (i dont remember) so you need to go and pray.." and that just made it sound like she was trying to scare the kids into praying. Nobody should be scared into praying. Thats just... Mean.
~Worshipping G.W.Bush.... Yeah....... that was weird. nuff said
~When the adult and the kids at this camp worshipped and talked or whatever it was kind of in Vviolent way. It was like Violent Evangilism.
~Them smashing the cups or whatever.. that was very dangerous. what if a peice of glass flew up and hit someone or cut them in the neck hitting the Carotid Artery and they bleed to death!! that would be horrible!

DON'T WASTE YOUR LIFE!!!!
1. Boasting in the cross happens everywhere. In your everyday walk with God. you just need to go out and tell people about christ and the cross and just everything that he has done for you and everything he will do for them. yep. i need to boast more in the cross in just every aspect of my life because i dont like talking to people i dont know but i shouldnt let that hold me back.
2. its confusing but it means that we have like died to ourselves. that we are no longer in complete control of ourselves because we have given ourselves up to christ and he is in complete control.
3. I am living by faith by trusting that God will give me the words to say to people to bring him the most glory i struggle with having faith in the areas that i have to trust that everything is going to be okay. and that even though i worry i know that God is in control and that he knows everything and has a purpose. :)

Grilled Cheesus
This episode of Glee was really.... Harsh to Christians in some parts. it moked christianity and made fun of it. like making a grilled cheese sandwich portray god is just.... okay. again in some parts. in others it was good. like the people that believed in Jesus were okay but the people that didnt.... yeah... okay. The writers have a really bad veiw on christianity. they think that christianity is unreal. basically. they dont believe that God exists and that he care. or whatnot. they portraying their beliefs inaccurately. they probably just assume but i cant really judge cause i dont know their life.
